Continental Public Transit Solutions is now Trapeze ITS

Constellation Software Inc. with headquarters in Toronto today announced the finalization of its acquisition of all the assets of the Public Transit Solutions segment (PT) of Continental Automotive Switzerland AG by its wholly-owned affiliate Trapeze Software Inc. Constellation originally announced its intent to acquire the PT business from Continental on September 1, 2009.

After the completion of the transaction, the PT business will be a separate unit of Trapeze operating under the name Trapeze ITS. Trapeze ITS is headquartered in Neuhausen, Switzerland, and has subsidiaries in the U.K., Poland, Germany, and the U.S. Trapeze ITS is headed by CEO Hans-Peter Schär.

Trapeze and Trapeze ITS possess vast technological expertise and experience as system producers and system integrators for extensive and consistent solutions in the public transit industry. The expanded product portfolio will on the one hand allow optimal operations control and efficient vehicle utilization. On the other hand, it offers possibilities of improving passenger information and ticketing.
